How do I become a Distributor?
ChemSpec USA currently has distribution opportunities available. Contact us to find out if there is an opening in your area.

How do I purchase your products in my area?
Our high quality refinishing products and coatings are available only through our Distributors. To find a store or jobber in your area, contact our Customer Service Department.

What are ChemSpec USA's office hours?
Operating hours are from 8:00am - 4:30pm EST Monday-Friday. The ChemSpec USA Operator as well as Customer Service is available to take your calls from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

What are the purchase guidelines, terms, and freight minimums?
This information can be found on the Purchase Guidelines, Terms and Freight sheet included in the Customer Informational Packet or contact our Customer Service Department.

How do I place an order?

Can I add-on to an order?
Yes in most cases!
First, verify with our Customer Service Department that the original order has not already shipped.
Once verified, you can place your additions* via:

CALL 800-328-4892 and ask for Customer Service
*Please indicate that this is an 'add-on' to an order already in-house and reference your purchase order in your request.

How long after I place my order can I change it?
You can change an order unless Customer Service has already invoiced the order. Remember that since our order turn-around rate is quick, we may have already invoiced the product. Check with our Customer Service Department as to where we are in the order process.

What is my expected turnaround time on an order?
If an account is current, product will ship within 1-3 Business days.

Who should I contact for order tracking?
If you provide our Customer Service Department with an email address or a fax number, we can arrange for you to receive an Automated Shipment Notification.
Otherwise, please contact our Customer Service Department for order tracking information.

What might cause a delay in shipment?
A delay in shipment could be caused by an order Òadd-onÓ or change, a request for a lift-gate delivery, or if the carrier has to call prior to delivery.

How do I know if a shipment is damaged? What do I do if it is?
ChemSpec USA ships all of its' skids wrapped in a sealant tape.
If this tape is torn, broken, or if damage is visual, DO NOT sign off on your freight bill without noting damages. Contact ChemSpec's Freight Claim Department (extension 2241 or direct at 330-669-4021) immediately.

What do I do if I need any form of literature for my business?

What type of applications training is available? At what cost?
The ChemSpec USA Training Program offers a variety of product and application training. Our Learning Programs are designed to address the specific needs of distributors, painters, and fleet refinishers that use or carry our products and class costs are very reasonable.
For the most up-to-date training information, or to schedule training for your employees, contact the Training Program Administrator at 330-317-0266.

What if I need technical assistance after office hours?
If after reviewing all product information sheets and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), you still have a question, leave a voice mail for our In-House Technical Department at 330-669-4007. They will contact you the morning of the next Business Day.
If your need is urgent, call Field Tech Support at 330-317-0266 until 8:00pm, Monday - Friday EST.

What if I need a color formula after office hours?
If, after checking the latest version of the Easimix Software or the Big Sky Color Wizard¨ Software, you still cannot find a formula, call the Color Department at 330-465-5995 until 8:00pm, Monday - Friday EST.
