Last weekend thousands of people attended the first ever Caribbean International Auto Expo.
After the devastation the area sustained from Hurricane Maria the event provided inspiration and growth in the automotive sector of the economy. ChemSpec USA was well represented by Advanced Wholesale Distributors.
Albert Perez Jr., Sales Director and VP of Marketing stated, “The Caribbean International Auto Expo was the biggest automotive show ever done in the Caribbean. It was important for us to be present in this event so we could showcase to the people the excellent quality and results that using Metalux and Montana products will provide. The 1964 Chevy Nova was completely restored using Montana and Metalux, and it is definitely a sight to behold. It was one of the main attractions during the show. We continue to strive for excellence with the continuous support from ChemSpec USA, an Axalta Coating Systems brand.”
The 1964 Chevy II/Nova featured in the booth was completely restored in Montana EZ601A primer, PS3203 DTM primer, Metalux GM940 basecoat and finished with Metalux 9700 clearcoat. This modified classic carries a Chevrolet Performance LS376 6.2L 525HP motor.
The vehicle is owned and painted by Taller Sami Body Shop in Aguas Buernas, Puerto Rico with product supplied by their jobber Mr. Potato Auto Paint in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The car has been featured at various auto shows in Puerto Rico and has won several recognition awards for its excellent condition and restoration.
Alberto states that he will continue to offer products of the highest quality with what he considers to be one the best paint warranty programs in the market. The show was such a success that the expo has confirmed another show for 2019.
